Infer

I have been reading chapter four of  " The False Prince" and I have come across an interesting piece of text. The text says "The better question is how far you will go to win." "I'm willing to lie, to cheat, and to steal. I'm willing to commend my soul to the devils if necessary because I believe there is exoneration in my cause. I need one of you to conduct the greatest fraud ever perpetrated within the country of Carthya" (Conner and Sage pg.28). After reading this I know that Sage has no way of getting out of this situation. This text also tells me that Mr. Conner is very serious about this plan. I can infer that Sage is going to have to preform this act of crime because of the seriousness that Mr. Conner has just talked to him with. I also believe that Mr. Conner will kill the other contestants he has brought along with him because it seems that he is favoring Sage. I can Infer that Sage is not going to act very well when Mr. Conner kills or gets rid of the other orphans. If Sage does that it might hurt Sages chances of survival as well. In conclusion, I can't be sure of what is going to happen but this I what I believe will happen.
